CORE4-COMMUNITY

Communities are vital for providing a sense of belonging, support, and connection. They can help us feel less alone, reduce stress, and improve our mental health. The Life4Real Team is all about community connection and want to invite you to become a part!

A Few Benefits of Being in A Community:

Sense of belonging: Communities can help you feel part of something larger than yourself. They provide a sense of belonging that could be vital for your psychological well-being.

Support: Communities can provide a safe space to share joys and sorrows. During challenging times, communities can provide solace, empathy, and encouragement.

Mental health: Strong social ties can lower stress and anxiety while social isolation can negatively impact mental health. Communities can help people feel connected, supported, and have a sense of purpose.

Learning: Communities can provide opportunities to learn new things and make new friends.

Personal growth: Being surrounded by people with similar interests, values, and beliefs can have a profound impact your life.

Building networks: Communities can help build networks and connect with others. They can also advocate and give support.

What Kind of Community Is Life4Real?

Our team is made up of different personalities, backgrounds and talents. While the core of our heart is centered around our strong faith in Christ, we want you to feel safe to come as you are no matter where you stand or what you have been through. We know going through difficult times requires strength and mental toughness and that is very hard to find if you are isolated. Our team wants to encourage you to become active with whatever you feel comfortable in hopes you find strength, love and support along the way.

Ways Can You Be Involved?

1.     Join the Circle Friends App: You will receive an invitation from our team. This app will give room for communication, daily encouragement, and for you to get to know us better.

2.     Join our Bi-weekly Friday night Bible Studies. These start at 6:30pm and are centered around topics women struggle with on a daily basis. They are online via Zoom.

3.     Come to one or all of our Life4Real Community Events. These can range from fun events with games/prizes, guest speakers, or even spa days. They always have food and fun friends and are usually hosted on a Saturday.

4.     Come sort on the 1st Saturday of the month with our Team: We gather to sort clothing for the community and would love for you to join us. We start at 10:00 and usually go until 12pm. Location is Prime Storage Three Chopt.

 Spiritual Connection:

During times that seem impossible, we have found that the strength of Christ can bring light into any dark and/or challenging place. Here are a few suggestions:

1: Start with a Daily Devotion. We can supply you with one if you do not have one.

2: Add a daily bible reading plan. We suggest the Bible Recap: You can download this app and follow it daily. We can give you a Bible if you do not have one.

3: Listen to daily podcasts for encouragement. We have a resource list you can choose from but a few of our favorites are Jackie Hill Perry, Priscilla Shirer, Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, Sadi Robertson Huff, The Basement Podcast, & Messenger X (John Bevere).

4: Listen/watch daily videos/sermons: From the above ladies or even John Mark Comer, Tyler Staton, Christine Caine, Preston Perry, and Peter Greig to just name a few!

5: Start a daily journal. Write down your thoughts and talk it out with Jesus.

6: Pray. This means just talk to Jesus. There is no official way to do it, but it means to just have a conversation sharing all of your thoughts, fears, concerns, and/or doubts with Him. He does hear you and He does care about your life.

7: Find a mentor or someone to talk with about your life and situation. This can be from the Life4Real team or outside.

8: Find a local church. We can give you some of our favorites if you would prefer. It may take trying a few out before you find which one feels like your home.
